Longform: A Smart Reader App Reviews

I fail to see the value of this app over a nicely self-curated Flipboard, which is free, faster and looks much better on most, if not all, sources available here... If I could get a refund, I would have asked for it... others may find the app good...

A nice app, I kindly wait for the upgrade with more fonts.

The content offered is great, but the app itself is quite bad. It crashes often, and when it doesnt it keeps throwing you back to the beginning of a list, and you have to reload everything.

Under normal circumstances I would give Longform 5 stars and then some, but with the last Update its essentially not usable anymore: Doesnt work offline, freezes and stops, doesnt save what I was reading, etc. Please, please go back to what worked so perfectly!

This is really the best way of reading and gathering useful information while sitting in plane or train Love it

The idea is great and often it works. But also very often it just crashes. Sad! It seems that this App is dead. There were no updates for over a year.

Constantly freezes,l cant use this app to read articles or any other functions.

This app allows you to follow your favourite publications and writers longform content. It also allows for one to find good Longform content via a curated list and a top rated section. It also has a very pleasant reading mode. I would give it five stars but it is occasionally glitchy. However the rate of glitches as decreased from update update. So this app can only get better. Great app, hell I would even pay for it. I only wish the website had all the features of the app so that I can browse p my Mac once in a while.

Repair that annoying freezing problem.

Love reading the varied and interesting pieces on this app but it constantly freezes and drops out. I always have to delete and re-download the app. Is it just me? Possibly, sorry if so!

A fantastic collection of articles, news and writing that has opened my eyes to many previously-unknown journalists and magazines.

Im torn about the rating for this app. On one hand, I cant recommend this app enough - I tell people about it all the time! I find the most interesting and diverse array of articles in this app and rarely see such careful curation of content by editors. Overall, it exposes me to a journalism that constantly expands my view of the world. However, I have had this app for over two years and find it to be very buggy. There is always some minor problem where one section wont update properly or the app will crash non-stop for a few days and then somehow start working again. It doesnt stop me from using it but I would really appreciate more continuous upgrades to the app. It has the potential to be absolutely phenomenal. Unfortunately it seems like the developers do not prioritize regular maintenance.

I love the concept of this app and the content it brings together, but there are several issues with it. 1) links often lead to wrong articles 2) "following" and "staff picks" feeds dont load properly 3) frequently freezes.

This used to be my favourite app for reading articles. It no longer works since I updated to iOS 10 though. App fails to load most sections. Only the "popular" section works as it should. The other glitch out and only display a couple articles and then just a large blank space after..... Really wish they would update this app for iOS 10.....

Was once my most lived app with incredible writing and curation which is why its inability to work with iOS 10 is so frustrating. Only section that works is Popular and even that only occasionally.

Supremely enjoy the articles this app has brought to my awareness. Highly recommended

So many great stories, great podcast too. You can follow a ton of publications and authors. Recommended for anyone who wants to read!
