Longform: A Smart Reader App Reviews

I appreciate this app more than most. Anytime I have some time to get into a good read (waiting rooms, etc) its there with plenty of choices. Highly recommend it. Theres no "catch"!

Ive just updated longform but it doesnt open again. Please make something with it, I love read the articles with the app

Of all the news and journalism apps that I have this one is hands down my favorite. The variety that comes from a broad amount of subjects spanning a large amount of time is incredible.

Was not happy with the app. There were very few stories available on the "staff pick" and it didnt update often. Theres actually more stories available on the website than on the app, so its just better to read on the website instead, defeating the purpose of this app.

The app is really good but there are some minor issues. For example, after reopening the app, the article I was reading does not continue from the point I paused.

Love this app. Use it every day. Good curtain.

App brings back interesting, in-depth reading to the web--all in one place.

I stumbled across Longform one day when I was in search of #longreads on Twitter. I discovered their app and have been using it ever since. Great articles, superb writing, and all curated for me. I use it several times a week. Thank you for providing it for us!

Wonderful exposure to articles and information I would have never known about.

What a pity. Still no luck on the latest update: Now the articles dont load. I love Longform. When it works. Unfortunately this app is more aptly called Longwaitforagoodupdate.

Allows you to search for keywords in its vast collection of articles. Five stars.

I love longform. I read multiple articles a day and keep many bookmarked for reading during my long travels. However the latest update is super buggy. It crashes in the middle of article, especially articles with multiple pages. It has stopped allowing me to bookmark any article. It has stopped recording my history or recommendations. It does not update the staff pics. Basically all functionality beyond reading and article from the "following" list has ceased. I hope they fix it soon!

Longform is a wonderful curated collection of articles. However, the display causes the articles to either crash or freeze with startling consistency. I keep going back to it, updating the app, and it still crashes, and I still go back because the heart of the app -- the article selection -- is stunning. I implore the developers to create a stable app that befits the quality of the article selection and the concept behind Longform.

The curation is quite good. Being able to follow authors as they write across publications is necessary in the modern publishing system. They even pay to have articles processed and presented in a readable format instead of forcing me to look at ad-filled websites. This app is wonderful, and I encourage you to contribute to the group behind it so they can continue the great work.

Rather than scrolling through social media. Scroll through well written stories from all over the world. My new source for news!
